Manifesting
Manifesting Through Prayer: Say a Prayer, Then Go Get It
By Daniel De La Cruz · Adapted from Memoirs of a Happy Psycho, Chapter 49, Peace From Chaos, and Chapter 63, Fruitless Endeavors
I always used to tell people that I say a prayer, then go out and get what I prayed for. That’s the closest thing I know to manifesting, and it works.
Pray with your hands moving
Imagine praying for a new house, then working with your hands to make the money for that house, and praying for it until you feel you’re going to accomplish what you prayed for. God is there with you, helping. But He gave us free will, so it’s important that you do your part. If you’re working with your hands, you might as well be working with your prayers too.
Decide first
All things are subject to actions, and all actions are subject to decisions. You won’t act until you decide what you’re going to do. People dream of millionaire lifestyles while putting in minimum-wage effort. The people who reach their goals are the ones who decide they will, set the goal, and don’t give up.
Remind yourself why, every day
Motivation is like showering: it’s recommended every day. Post a picture of your goal. Say your affirmations. If you’re working toward a home, think about the house. If you’re trying to get your kids back, think about tucking them in at night. If you’re giving up a vice, think about not needing anything to be happy. Those reminders turn a long, hard trip into an exciting journey.
Chaos can bring the peace you asked for
There was a time I couldn’t sleep and couldn’t find peace no matter what. Then I took a job way outside my comfort zone, worked long days, and drove two hours to get there. With all that chaos around me, I slept better than I had in years. My alone time became the highest quality. The more taxing your days are, the more at peace you’ll be at night. Stay busy doing something productive, stay grateful, and watch what comes.
Don’t waste the time
Time is the one thing you never get back. I’ve lost money, freedom and love and gotten them back. Time is different. It’s never too late to accomplish your goals, but why wait? The sooner you reach these goals, the sooner you can set bigger ones.
